Activewear

Well, folks I was lucky again with Crowdtap
 Girls125x125

Being someone who wears workout pants 10-12hrs a day when at work I like them to be comfy, perform well, and look good (aka make me look so small).  I'm also known on somedays when off to Ian to also sport workout pants then too. Hey, don't judge one must be comfortable when being used a human trampoline.

A few weeks ago I had purchased these from Old Navy:
I love them for running and that it's. When it comes to workout attire I have well workout attire, work workout attire and running attire.

Workout attire: usually constants of a good sports bra (or 2), a shirt or tank top that isn't too baggy you don't need fabric getting in your way when it comes to burpees or instanity, and either shorts (but not running shorts) or workout capris. Oh and when i workout at home I always do it barefoot.

Work workout attire: good shoes usually when I get new running shoes my old ones become my work shoes since they have a few 500 miles on them and are in still overall good use. Yoga bootcut pants are my work workout pants of choice and usually a work shirt and good zip up hoodie.

Running Attire: Now, here we have 2 categories we have warmer months attire: tank top, good sports bra(s), running shorts, headband and shoes.  And we have cold months attire: shoes, running pants (like pictured above), good sports bra(s), and a nice long sleeve shirt, gloves, and a headband.

And yes I find it completely necessary to have so many categories for workout attire.

Anyways onto crowdtap, I was given the responsibility to go my local Old Navy and pick out one pair of activewear bottoms and one activewear top. I was torn as to what workout category I should add too.  I went with work workout:

And running:

But here it is all put together so now it's a running errands outfit and a work workout outfit:

This weekend I will be pairing the top with my running tights here's a preview:
*Note: I'm not a barefoot runner, just too lazy to put my shoes on for this little photoshoot.

workout pants

Last Saturday I posted about the dress I got for free and the workout pants I was going to be getting for free thanks to Crowdtap.  Well, my coupons came in the mail Monday and I got busy getting them into the hands of 3 great girls.  Today was the first day they were valid so off to Old Navy Ian and I went.  If you recall I had already in my mind which ones I wanted however the store didn't have them in stock in fact they were on clearance and only had a size 2x.  Yeah that's not gonna work, so onto searching.  I took 3 pairs into the changing room and got to business.  I orginally wanted pants but after some thought I decided to increase my summer workout wear selections.

I ended up with these (now, I normally don't take pictures of everything I get new but pics are a requirement for crowdtap so whatever I'll do it, thanks to selftimer I was able to "model" all by myself) :

lightening speed

Last week my new running shoes arrived

I went for my first wearing them on Saturday and I was super excited to test them out. I took a look the clock when I left the house for a 5 mile run and I was running I was thinking to myself "wow, I feel like I'm running so much faster because of these shoes". 5 miles later I return home look at the clock and reality set in nope not super fast at all but still at my snail pace.

mittens

Now if you've ever ran before when the temps are a bit a chilly then you know that when you start your hands are cold and then as you get going they warm up. So you start your run with gloves or mittens on then part way through your hands are sweating like crazy and you would like to remove your hand gear but now you have to carry them until you reach your destination. Which isn't a big deal but kinda annoying. Well, for Christmas a few years ago I received the most useful Christmas present from my sister that I still use today. A running shirt, this is not your typical running shirt though this is the most intivative dual purpose running shirt I have ever seen. It has built-in mittens, and the all important chapstick pocket or I guess you could put your house key in the pocket too. Onto the shirt itself as words can no longer describe it's amazingness (is that a word? oh well I don't care it is now).

Notice hands are showing:

Notice hands are covered:

That's right the shirt has built in mittens. Just like they have long sleeve onesies with the attached mittens to keep babies hands warm and prevent them from scratching their faces. Well they have them adults minus the onesie part I think that would be a tad bit uncomfy. Now the sad news, I have yet to locate another one. This one is from Target and I never saw it at our store but my sister found it at her store down in Florida. Please Target bring this shirt back:).
