you: do you think I should get this? It's on sale (includes picture of art work)
me: how much on sale
you: I think 59.99
me: GAH...remember you are talking to someone who is on a uber doober tight budget (thinking about wall decor is the fartherest thing from my mind)
you: I know but I think it would be something fun and I don't really have any wall decor it was $99.99
me: gah...I don't know if you want someone to say yes then ask mom
you: ha, I just sent it to her.
Yep, I very helpful what can I say. And I can pretty much guarantee my mom said yes and it will be hanging on a wall very soon at my sister's place.

weekend wrap up
I have yet to document Marcus' birthday or Mother's Day so on this hot and humid day I will do so.
Marcus' Birthday:
We started celebrating Friday evening with dinner and cupcakes at my parents while there I got Ian's present for him to give to Marcus which he gave to him wrapped in the comic section of the newspaper. He gave him a cake pan filled with flavor ice popsicles (Marcus' favorite and I had to steal them from my parents freezer since they are in-season at Sam's Club just yet). Saturday morning Ian gave Marcus his present, I made french toast and then we hung out at home the rest of the day, took a nap and then headed to Cosmo's Susies's for some yummy pizza with his parents and uncle. From there we headed to my in-laws to indulge in everything we shouldn't indulge in: cake, cheesecake and ice cream. Oh my goodness it was all very good and we continued to eat the cup cakes, cheesecake, and cake all week long. Marcus enjoyed his day and enjoyed staying home not having to do anything or go really anywhere.
Mother's Day:
No sleeping in for this momma which is fine because I'd be afraid if I did I would be capable of spraying milk and we can't risk losing any of the good stuff. Marcus got up made omeletts for breakfast. I had mentioned throughout the week that I wanted us to go to the riverwalk for a nice family walk and then go grocery shopping (yes i wanted to go grocery shopping) we use to go together when we were first married and I enjoyed having a human calculator with me. So Sunday morning I still had no idea what was on the docket for the day. After breakfast Marcus got in the shower and ready to go I took note to what he was wearing and what shoes he wore which told me how I needed to dress. I then showered and texted with my sis for a while getting her opinion on my wardrobe. We feed Ian, I pumped and we were soon walking out the door with me still not knowing what was happening. I mentioned once in the car that I didn't bring a bottle for Ian (I know you're thinking you left the house without a bottle, yes we left the house without a bottle). Marcus told me to close my eyes and he would let me know when I could open them, well I'm really bad with directions so the eyes would randomly open. We were headed to the outlets, I was instructed to buy until Marcus said stop, easy enough right? Well, not so much I'm so accostumed to watching how much I spend on things and talking myself out of things it was tough to go in the complete opposite direction. Gap had some great deals as well as Coach and Gymboree (had to get something for the lil guy) . Ian started revolting while I was in line at Coach so we headed to the car did a diaper change on him and when I went to put him back in the stroller he started revolting again can you blame him though he had been in his carseat for a long time and just wanted to be held so we carried him to Old Navy and then didn't want to risk it any longer without a bottle and headed home. We got carry out and watched a movie. It was a great 1st Mother's Day.
Now it's onto brainstorming for father's day....

catch up
Catch Up, randomness style
-this will be Ian's last week of staying with strictly family before he heads back to outside childcare. After some searching and recommendations we are going with a lady named Michele she was state licensed for 18yrs has been in the kiddo care business for over 20yrs. A few years ago she gave up her license so she could spend mroe time with the kids and downsize. Ian will be hanging out there 2 days a week.
-Summer is approaching and we have some exciting stuff to look forward. Aunt CiCi will be coming up the 1st weekend in June to run the 1/2 marathon with me, go to her 10yr class reunion, introduce Ian to a big bathtub (aka a pool), head up to our parents summer place, and my birthday. Wow that makes it sound like she'll be here for 2wks but really just 5 days, 5 jam packed days. We intend to make some weekend trips up to my parents place as well. And in August we'll be boarding a plane and heading to San Diego!!
-I have discovered my problem with work so now I'm trying to fix it.
-Ian has his 4mos check-up on Tuesday any guesses as to what his weight will be? 3wks ago he weighed in at 14lbs 11oz. He had more than doubled his weight.
- will are saying goodbye to this:
we sat down today and made our plan of attack so we don't receive anymore bills for that, should be gone in 7mos!!
-training for the 1/2 marathon is coming along very nicely, already my 5k time has improved. Altough I have no time goal for the 1/2 I just want to finish.
-the past couple weeks Ian and I have been able to meet up with some other mommas and their babies for a walk.

up and coming
*2mos shots (I know I'm late in getting these this is the soonest they could get us in)
*a trip to goodwill, I transitioned my clothes this weekend out with the sweaters and in with the tank tops, shorts and skirts. Which also means goodwill is getting some great outdated stuff. Is it bad that I still have clothes from highschool? I can still fit into them they just aren't very fashionable anymore.
*Easter which means a trip down to Indy
*we will have a 3mos old living with us
*flowers and plants which I know really nothing about will be popping up
*work in SB is moving locations (we've been kicked out of our current location as they are probably going to demo it)
*1/2 marathon is just 11 short weeks away
*budget, Marcus and I will soon be sitting down and working out a budget so our debt can disappear and we can start saving a down payment for our next house
*now that spring has arrived, home improvement projects will be put back on the to do list.
Just a few of things that will be happening in the coming weeks. Some I look forward too while others I could pass on.
